Monday, June 6, 2011. Dr Jack Kevorkian dies from illness at 83. Dr Jack Kevorkian, the Michigan Pathologist who grew to be someone who supported assisted suicide, died Friday morning. Was 83 during the time of his death. Kevorkian was sentenced to 10 to 25 years in jail. On June 1, 2007 he was released after only 8 years.
